From your first walk across campus at University of Oklahoma, places like Bizzell Library, the South Oval, and Gaylord Family–Oklahoma Memorial Stadium won’t just be landmarks—they’ll start to feel like part of your everyday life.
Think game days that turn the whole town crimson, chants you’ll catch yourself saying without even thinking (“Boomer!”), and a campus energy that makes everything—from classes to coffee runs—feel a little more exciting.
But before all of that? You’re about to Find Your Letters through sorority recruitment—and trust us, this is where the friendships, the traditions, and the unforgettable chaos all begin.
Fun Fact: Did you know University of Oklahoma is one of the few SEC schools that still holds its Open House round fully in person? That means you’ll actually step inside every single sorority house before submitting your preferences—no videos here! That’s right - this is still a video free campus.

OU Recruitment 2026 Dates
April 1: Registration Opens
June 15: Registration Closes
August 8: Mandatory Orientation
August 9 & 10: Round 1 (Open House)
Parties are 20 minutes long and you will visit all 11 chapter houses over a two day period. Outfits are casual, with t-shirts provided by Panhellenic. You’ll want to style it in a way that shows your personality—think cute skirts or shorts paired with your tee for a fun, comfortable, and put-together look.
August 11 & 12: Round 2 (Philanthropy)
Parties are 30 minutes long and you will visit up to 8 chapter houses over a two day period. Outfits are casual, with t-shirts provided by Panhellenic. You’ll want to style it in a way that shows your personality—think cute skirts or shorts paired with your tee for a fun, comfortable, and put-together look.
August 13 & 14: Round 3 (Sisterhood)
Parties are 45 minutes long and you will visit up to 5 chapters over a two day period. As of recruitment 2026 OU has officially gone back to letting PNMs wear their own outfit instead of another required t-shirt this round. Woohoo! Think cute sundress like you’re headed to dinner with friends or something you’d wear to a graduation party.
August 15: Round 4 (Preference)
Since Round 4 is more special and ceremonial, this is your moment to dress to impress. Think cocktail dress with heels or wedges.
PNMs may visit a maximum of 2 chapters and each party is 1 hour long.
August 16: Bid Day
For the perfect OU Bid Day outfit, think comfortable, stylish, and ready to celebrate in white or black (so you don’t clash with your new Bid Day shirt!). Popular options include athleisure dresses, rompers, or a skirt-and-top combo that can easily be worn under your sorority t-shirt.

FyL FYI: What to know about OU recruitment
· The doors might not open until August, but sorority recruitment is already happening! It’s important to get on chapters’ radars as soon as you commit to OU. Make connections, visit campus if you can, and find ways to stand out.
· Get those letters of recommendation in early! These are essential at OU and submitting them sooner rather than later allows recruitment teams to start learning about you. It can also open the door for opportunities like summer coffee dates or PNM events.
